Everyone! Listen up! I need some help...........
I'm in the middle of writing a story but I need some help. With my villain. So far he's an average, cookie cutter villain. I'm almost done with my plot at six thousand words! All because my antagonist does not have enough character development. What are some of your tips on creating an awesome villain? How do you create someone who's not going to bore your reader? How do you create a villain like Loki, where everyone and anyone can love him while at the same time hating him? PLEASE HELP!!!

Do any of you try to make new years resolutions? Yes, no, maybe so? Yeah, I've tried it before. It never quite turns out for me. Or for anyone. You can find pictures all over talking about how fast people break their resolutions. I mean seriously. People are never able to keep them. Maybe this year will be different for all those motivated people. Then again, maybe it won't.
So true.
Also, I'll try to post a Christmas post soon. Yes I know Christmas has already passed. I can still write about it though! XD

The Hobbit Battle of the Five Armies

So I watched the new hobbit. It was amazing. I didn't think it would be too great. I was wrong. It was amazing. There were a lot of mental and physical obstacles they had to overcome, making it more than just pure action and adventure. The plot was great. The characters were excellent . (So much character growth) they had a lot of fantastic elements. The scenery was remarkable. The orcs were way better than the previous hobbit movies. (They didn't look like cartoons). I thought they wrapped up the whole love triangle very well. It actually made the movie even better! This being the last movie of the Tolkien books was very sad. Although they ended it splendidly. It was so sad too. I am going crazy over this movie! If you haven't seen this movie yet....GO WATCH IT!!!!!

Why Frozen really Was So Great!

I want to tell you guys why Frozen really is so great. It honestly was an awesome movie. You may not think so, but hopefully I'll convince you to rethink that. So without further ado, why frozen really is so great!
The characters:
Olaf- he was a great character. Always optimistic and bubbly. I loved him. If you didn't then you have no heart. Sorry, it's true. He even 'melted' for Ana.
Ana- She was spunky, and again optimistic and bubbly. She was a very great character. Definitely the most real disney princess. (She was clumsy, she didn't wake up perfectly, she was forgetful, awkward, etc.)
Elsa- I really didn't like her very much, but she added a good elament to the story. Her ice was awesome and in the end she really loved her little sister.
Kristoff- He was a great character too. He had a pet reindeer! He also played music. :) He wasn't the classic Disney prince. In the beginning he was kind of grumpy but by the end of the movie he had sacrificed a lot for love. It wasn't just handed to him and I thought he was a really good character.
Hans- He was a good villain. He was deceptive and just dorky enough to be believable.
Sven- He's loyal and sweet and a really great sidekick.

The plot:
It was actually pretty good. They had the right elements to make a good story. I thought it was actually very good.

The Scenery:
I thought the setting of it was really good. It was set in Norway. The ice castle was amazing. It was so beautiful. Really, it was. The snowstorm at the end, when Elsa starts to get upset was very cool.

The music:
I loved most of the music, some of it was kind of funny, some of it was cool, some of it was just awesome, meaning the beginning song that they sing in norwegian. I love that one, I've memorized it all.

Now you might still be saying 'I still don't like it.' But you probably are saying that because it was so overdone. You saw it everywhere. At the store. Online. In your little brother's bedroom. Or maybe your expectations were really high and it didn't quite match those expectations. Whatever it was maybe it messed up your view of it. But it was actually a very good movie.
Thanks for the time,

Best Books Ever!

As a book addict I obviously love books and have spent a decent amount of time reading them. Here in this post is a list of some of the best books I have read. I have even included a couple of non-fiction books. So now I bring to you the Best Books Ever!

The Lord of the Rings:

One of the best works of literature ever. Even however many years from when the book was published they still have movies, video games, fanfiction, costumes, and many many other things. The gripping battle scenes. Gollumn, Samwise, Frodo, legolas, Aragorn, Gandalf, the villains. the ring, Tolkien wrote one of the best stories ever! It's worth reading all 999 pages of the story. Trust me, it is!

Divergent:

I loved the movie and decided to read the book. It was awesome! Also the author is a Christian. They have good action scenes and great (but not too extremely long) descriptions. Although there is a sentence or two that you may end up having to skip. There was a romance element but it was tollerable. Great book!

Swipe series:

A series about the end times. It's a very interesting series. it's very creative. I highly recommend it!

The Door Within series:

These books are a great allegory about the spiritual battle. They take an awesome fantazy approach. It's all knights and dragons type of thing. I really enjoyed these books. Like a lot.

The mysterious benedict society:

Thank you Newtons for getting me hooked on this series. it's one of my favorites. the quirk mysteries. Oh you guys better read this book, it's awesome!

Nancy Drew Mysteries!
It's a classic series. I really enjoyed these.

If you're really into romance kinda thing I would suggest:
Life of faith girls series, It's like american girl only christian and the books are a bit better written. And for a bit more mature audiences.

The fairest beauty:

Another series. These are Christian teen romance novels. These stories also have some action in them. I actually enjoyed these ones.

Now. Nonfiction.

The Bible! Although I think you all already know what book that is! It's the best of them all!

I kissed dating goodbye, it's a good book on purity. I would recommend it for everyone.

Do Hard Things, it's a good inspirational book. Also recommend this one for everyone.

7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, Another good one.

Thanks guys! Hope you enjoyed this list and maybe found some new books to read.

Wordy Ramblings of a Book Addict

What is it about books that can just capture a reader? I've been thinking a lot about my favorite books as I've been working on my own novel. What makes them so likeable and compelling? Why have people always enjoyed reading? I think we all can come up with our own answer. Why do you enjoy reading? Now some of you may be saying "I don't like reading." Well then this blog post is not for you. Anyways, the reason I, and probably a lot of other people, love reading because of a books ability to transport you to a different place and time. You can have a whole adventure without ever leaving your couch. You can experience a different life. The hardships and happiness that others can experience. Even though books are just words on paper you make them something so much more. You give them their value. Because you read them. Their are things about books that are so amazing and beautiful. I think the endings of books are important. That's your final note. The feeling you're left with long after you set down the pages. Books can change you. The writer has a couple hundred pages to convince you of something that they believe. You discover things in books. When you read you're seeing more than words. The printed ink can do so much more than create a story. It can give you hope, happiness, love, peace. It can make you smile or frown or sometimes cry your way to dehydration.(<That's actually happened to me before.) It can give you strength or help you get through hard times. I think books are as close to magic as you can get. You can do things you never could before. Even if only in your mind. Reading is like a dream. The impossible becomes possible when you read a book.I don't know why books affect people in this way. I don't know why reading books give me the inspiration to do things I never could before. If you have an explanation for this please tell me why this happens, because I honestly have no clue.
People who write have power over those who read. Don't abuse that power. You could change someone's life with your words.
I may end up writing more on the topics of books and writing so I would really appreciate feedback on this post.
Keep reading, writing and being,
Randomly Brainy.
